This Privacy Policy explains how MathClue handles information for the public website and the MathClue application. It is intended to be readable for families and should be reviewed by legal counsel before broad commercial launch.

1. Services covered

This policy covers getmathclue.com, the public marketing website, and app.getmathclue.com, the application used for accounts, student learning, parent dashboards, reports, and student activation.

2. Information we collect

MathClue may collect account, family, student, learning, usage, and support information needed to provide the service.

  • Account information such as name, email address, username, authentication provider, role, and plan status.
  • Student learning information such as grade level, submitted math work, images or text of problems, extracted answers, work steps, diagnoses, learning areas, repair lessons, quiz results, delayed-review results, and progress reports.
  • Parent and family information used to link students to a family account, manage subscriptions, and send progress reports.
  • Technical and usage information such as device/browser data, app events, log data, and security information used to operate and protect the service.
  • Support communications when a parent, student, or educator contacts MathClue.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide, improve, secure, and support MathClue.

  • Diagnose math mistakes and identify likely learning causes.
  • Generate focused repair lessons, support lesson replay, provide in-lesson Q&A, and evaluate lesson quiz results.
  • Schedule and evaluate delayed review when available for the student plan.
  • Create parent-readable progress reports and family dashboard summaries.
  • Manage accounts, authentication, student activation, subscriptions, support, abuse prevention, and service reliability.
  • Improve product quality, model prompts, safety checks, and user experience using appropriate safeguards.

4. Children and parent involvement

MathClue is designed for students and families. Students under 13 may not create a MathClue account without parent or guardian consent. A parent or guardian may create, approve, or manage a student account and may request access, correction, or deletion of a child’s information.

5. AI and service providers

MathClue may use trusted service providers for hosting, authentication, analytics, payments, email, storage, AI processing, and customer support. These providers are used to operate MathClue and should not use learning information for their own independent purposes except as permitted by contract or law.

6. Sharing information

We do not sell student personal information. We may share information with service providers, within a linked family account, with educators or operators authorized to review learning evidence, when required by law, to protect the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain learning history, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect MathClue. Parents may request deletion or account closure by contacting us.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee perfect security.

9. Your choices

Parents and eligible users may request access, correction, deletion, or help with account controls by contacting MathClue. Some information may be retained where required for security, legal compliance, billing, or legitimate operational records.
